3. "How to Measure" Guide

Getting the right dimensions is the difference between a seamless installation and a costly mistake. Follow these steps for the perfect fit:

1. Measure the "Daylight" Opening: Measure only the glass you can see. Do not include the window frame, gaskets, or "beading."

2. The Rule of Three: Measure the width and height in three places (top, middle, and bottom). Windows are rarely perfectly square—always use the largest measurement.

3. Add a "Bleed": For full-coverage graphics like Window Perf, add 1 inch to both the total width and height. This allows for a perfect edge-to-edge trim during installation.

4. Check for Obstructions: Note the location of door handles, locks, or mail slots that might interfere with your design.

Q: Can window graphics be applied to the inside of the glass? A: Yes! This is called "Second Surface" or "Inside Fit." We print the image in reverse on clear material with a white backing to protect the graphic from weather and vandalism.

Q: How long do window graphics last? A: Depending on sun exposure, most high-quality vinyl lasts between 3 to 7 years. Window Perf typically has a 3-year lifespan, while Etched Vinyl can last much longer indoors.

Q: Will Window Perf make it too dark inside my store? A: Not at all. It feels similar to a light window tint. You will still have plenty of natural light, and the "open" feel of the window remains intact.

Q: Are these graphics easy to remove? A: Yes. Our graphics use a semi-permanent adhesive. They can be peeled off (using a little heat from a hair dryer) without damaging the glass or leaving heavy residue.
